T-shirts and ragged jeans are my robes As I wander through forgotten glens Honoring themselves with simple rites I am a witch but you do not know me. For I could be anyone, anywhere Even if my soul does ring with echos Echos of whispers from the trees I am a witch but you do not know me. The one who dances on Halloween Who stands wondering at the full moon The one who hears a song in the wind I am a witch but you do not know me. The one who finds peace in the river's roar Who laughs dancing in the summer storm But faceless to you just the same I am a witch but you do not know me. As I honor the old ones with my song Offering them the power from my hands Being granted the poetry of my soul I am a witch but you do not know me. For I appear, to mundane eyes, normal The one you pass without a second glance For I do not wish to be seen as yet I am a witch but you do not know me. The one with poetry and music in my soul To whom nature speaks, greets and welcomes For I honor her as she wants and needs I am a witch but you do not know me. I am the one moving to the Goddess's beat Feeling the rush of her blood in my heart The smell of her breath in the wind I am a witch but you do not know me. But what did you expect to see in me Pointed nails forming claws or flowing robes? That might work for some but no not I I am a witch but you do not know me. For I could be anyone, anywhere I am everywhere and sometimes nowhere City, town, and country are my worldly realms I am a witch but you do not know me. Or perhaps just perhaps you do For I am your neighbor you know I am a witch and you do know me. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Watcher By ShadowWalker "There is someone out there It is watching you and me No one knows if they are good or evil They just all know they are there Just around that corner Just up those stairs If your tricky enough you might Catch a stare Out the corner of your eye But when you turn they are not there You might catch a ghost of their scent Lingering on the air They are watching and recording Wondering who is the best For something is coming And we are all in a test To see which ones are gifted The ones that will pass Shall be the chosen ones For they have a set path So they next time you see Somone out the Corner of your eye or Smell a strange scent Lingering in the air You have just caught a trace Of The Watcher assigned To you" Copyright (c) 2000 Sheila K.
