The Raven is out of the hospital and thanks all for the well wishes.
And a final note the cats have finally started to ignore the peat 
pots after having destroyed half of them and the rest are currently 
not in the places they started out.  I guess I will wait and see what 
sprouts.

Working Magick:

I started out thinking about writing this down as a spell but I 
decided to talk a bit more about magick and practical working of it. 

Hardest ingredient: the belief that you deserve what you are asking 
to receive.  That one is tough believe me I know.

Second do not limit yourself.  If you need only 500 dollars to barely 
scrape by and ask for only 500 dollars well the chances of you 
winning the jackpot in the lottery are slim. 

Start slowly and think about the consequences before you do a spell. 

The best spells are ones you have written yourself.

Don't be locked into when something is supposed to happen.  Yes lunar 
energies and other energies can help BUT it doesn't mean you can't 
work around things.  If someone needs healing and you usually focus 
on getting better type magick and the moon is waning change what you 
are sending so that the illness or pain is going away. 

Figure out what type of energy you work with the best. If you suck at 
fire magick using a candle spell to achieve your needs is probably 
not the best bet but if you excel at it well stock up on plenty of 
candles. 

Ok this one is a personal bias (but then all my writing is) Use Tools 
as little as possible when you first start out. Find out what you can 
or can't do before you decide that you need tool X to do this.  What 
happens if you lose tool X?  The magick comes from within the tools 
just make it easier to control. 

You can find information on magick outside official magick books.  I 
paraphrase Mercedes Lackey when asked how to ground and center and 
she also has some good ideas on shielding if you tone them down a bit 
for the real world.  I call it being creative others would call it 
being fluffy bunny.  Ok just call me Bugs.
